Description

Save on a round-trip Shinkansen package from Tokyo or Shinagawa Station to Odawara Station with flexible return dates. Stay up to 7 days, explore popular sightseeing spots and use the special 2-day Izu Hakone Bus Pass to journey out to Hakone.

Cancellation Policy

  • ・Any cancellations made after 30 days after your designated activity date will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount. ・Any cancellations made after exchanging the voucher will be subject to the cancellation policy issued by JR TOKAI TOURS.

  • Round trip flex ticket from Tokyo or Shinagawa Station to Odawara Station.

Participation Location Details

  • Exchange Process:
    1. Bring your VELTRA voucher and passports of all travelers with the same booking to the JR Tokai Tours office at Tokyo Station or Shinagawa Station. All travelers using the same voucher must exchange together as a group. Should you wish to leave before 10:00, you must exchange your voucher at least one (1) day before during business hours.
    2. Show your confirmed voucher.
    The voucher is valid until 30 days after your selected booking date.
    You may exchange your voucher any time between the designated date and 30 days after it. Vouchers will be invalid and refunds will not be issued after 30 days.
    3. Receive your round-trip Shinkansen bullet train tickets.
    Return tickets can only be used for non-reserved seats on the bullet train within 7 days from the designated start date. (ex: if your chosen start date is May 15 your return date can be from May 16 to 21. It cannot be May 22 or later.)
  • Exchanges can be made at the following booths at each station.
    Please note that vouchers must be exchanged at the following locations prior to boarding the bullet train.

  • Shinagawa Station: JR Tokai Tours Shinagawa Branch
    Next to Bullet Train South Exit.

    Monday - Friday: 11:00-19:30
    Weekend and holidays: 11:00-18:00
    Open all year except New Year holidays.
    Closed: Dec 25, 2020 - Jan 3, 2021

Restrictions

  • Minors under 20 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 20 and above.
  • Japanese citizens purchasing the JR Flex Rail Ticket must be accompanied by a foreign passport holder. Each foreign passport holder may be accompanied by up to two (2) Japanese citizens.
  • Please make sure to read the restrictions prior to booking this tour.

Additional Notes

  • Expired vouchers cannot be exchanged and cannot be refunded.
  • All seats on the bullet train are not reserved. Seats cannot be guaranteed.
  • The JR Flex Rail Ticket return trip is valid for 7 days from the start date (inclusive).
  • No refund will be given after the JR ticket has already been used or expired and in the event of non-availability of service, delays or similar issues.
  • There are no guides on this activity.

Dressing & Items to Bring

  • VELTRA voucher and passports for all participating travelers listed on the voucher
  • Large pieces of luggage with length, width, height exceeding a sum of 160 cm cannot be brought into the bullet train. If you cancel for this reason, a cancellation fee will be charged.

  • You may not board the bullet train with the VELTRA voucher only. You must go to the designated JR Tokai Tours offices in Tokyo Station or Shinagawa Station and exchange your voucher for the JR Flex Rail Ticket.
